Several times over the last few years, we’ve had Announcement emails get stuck in “Pending”. The last particular Announcement was saved 2 weeks ago and all emails were still Pending.
Every time the only way to release these from Pending is to go into “Settings > Emails > Email Sending Interval” and change our setting (Every 15 Minutes) to something else, Save Changes, change it back. Then the emails start getting delivered.
Is there a particular reason why this would continue to happen and is there a fix or something we can do?
September 28, 2023 at 12:47 am #45735Shamim HasanKeymasterIt should be one time change.
Do you have any other plugin which may have cron change functionality?October 3, 2023 at 2:16 pm #45761pasturesadminParticipantI have the same issue – how do we fix this?
October 10, 2023 at 7:51 pm #45778Shamim HasanKeymasterCan you please go to Dashboard > Front End PM PRO > Settings > Emails > Email Sending Interval and change to any other value and save changes. Wait selected amount of time and check again if email start sending?
October 16, 2023 at 6:36 pm #45792christie.lindemann1ParticipantThis is exactly what I have to do every time. Yes, it does get the emails sending, but it is frustrating that I have to do this every so often.
October 16, 2023 at 6:39 pm #45794christie.lindemann1ParticipantYes, I installed WP Crontrol and it shows 15 scheduled cron tasks. Are you thinking that one of these other ones is conflicting?
October 21, 2023 at 3:33 pm #45800Shamim HasanKeymasterThis should be done only one time max. But as in your case it needs to be done every time, it may have some conflict. Is it possible to get access to your website to debug? If yes, please send credentials using https://www.shamimsplugins.com/sensitive-information/

I have the same issue, with emails stuck in Pending state. I followed the above advice (change the Email Pending Interval) to no avail. Emails are still stuck.
Is there another way of fixing this?
I saw that you proposed to help but the November 6 reply (above) has been marked as private so I cannot see if the issue was resolved.
Thank you in advance.January 21, 2024 at 3:12 pm #45844Shamim HasanKeymasterCan you please install a cron plugin (eg. WP Crontrol) and check if cron is firing correctly?
March 14, 2024 at 1:07 am #45876christie.lindemann1ParticipantThe “fep_15_min” Cron Schedule is there. However, I never see that listed in Cron Events. I just sent a test announcement and it sits in the announcements list as email pending and never sends. There are no hooks with “fep” listed. A hook should be created immediately after creating an announcement, correct?

However, my announcements stay as “pending” and never send.
March 20, 2024 at 9:32 pm #45880paul.leesParticipantHello,
I have been having this issue for what seems like a long time.
I will try to change the sending interval but I’m concered it’s going to trigger all pending emails from all time (I have pending back thru 2022)
@Shamim Hasan can you please provide some support on this topic? How can I avoid tens of thousands of emails being triggered?
Note that the email settings ‘work’ correctly. I know this because DM emails are being received.

It appeared to be working fine, but then announcements got stuck again and I had to toggle the sending interval to get them to start sending out again. For a couple months I was manually going in every month and just toggling the sending interval to ensure it would continue to not get stuck. However, after 3 weeks (just shy of when I would go in again and proactively toggle it), it got stuck again.
1. I confirmed cron-job.org was running fine and it was.
2. I manually loaded /wp-cron.php as well to test.
3. I confirmed that “fep_email_interval_event” is not listed in Cron Events (via the WP Crontrol plugin).
4. I toggled the sending interval from 5 minutes to 15 minutes, saved, toggled it back to 5 minutes and saved.
5. Announcements starting sending again.
6. “fep_email_interval_event” cron event kicked off again on schedule and more announcements sent out (I have it set to send 50 messages at a time). What else can be done to avoid this from happening? The fact that “fep_email_interval_event” is disappearing is the cause and why announcements are not sending.
