BartParticipant
The above message has decoded the encoded & back into an & so the problem is not yet clear. I will put spaces between the encoded characters now:
The problem is you encode the & into & # 0 3 8 ; and this breaks the message url.
BartParticipantThanks! Filling the templates with text worked. Maybe you could fill those with some default text when Front End PM (PRO) is installed so it would work from the beginning.
I have a problem with the message_url variable:
The ampersand in the url is urlencoded into & by you and this breaks the url so it does not correctly handle the fep_id anymore. The message url as is is sent: https://my.domain.com/?fepaction=viewmessage&fep_id=12660
The message url should be: https://my.domain.com/?fepaction=viewmessage&fep_id=12660
BartParticipantI also would like to hide all traces of the announcement system for my end users. I have added your suggested code, but my users are still seeing: “You have 11 unread messages and 15 unread announcements”. How can I remove the part “and 15 unread announcements”?

BartParticipantForward email to a script is not possible for me because my MX record points to the mailserver of Google Apps. Maybe somewhere in the future you will support piping email by reading it from a POP3 or IMAP server.
BartParticipantPlease add the untranslated string to Front End PM somewhere in the greyed out PRO section, so it can be translated in the same way the other PRO texts can be translated using translate.wordpress.org
I have made a major effort to translate 100% of the text strings for the Dutch language. All PRO texts can be translated using translate.wordpress.org but ONE because that ONE last string is not present in the none PRO version.
Please, please add that ONE last string to the plain Front End PM version. You are making me struggle with pot, po and pm files for that last ONE string. I have payed my license, I tranlated hundreds of strings for Front End PM. Please don’t make me struggle for that last string. You would make the life of your translators much easier by adding that ONE last string to the greyed out PRO section of Front End PM so it will become available to translate by the online tooling of translate.wordpress.org.
BartParticipantIn the online translation pages of Front End PM there are a lot of PRO texts. And after having installed and activated Front End PM PRO (and deactivated Front End PM) my Dutch translation stays active. So the online translation CAN be used for Front End PM PRO. Just this one string is missing for translation …
